Foundation Volunteers

Volunteer with the Issaquah Schools Foundation today! Supporting students takes a village, and we appreciate your gift of time and talent to help us carry out our mission through events and everyday operations. Click below to search for upcoming opportunities, which can range from administrative tasks to large event committee work. Throughout the year, we add opportunities for students and adults ranging in length and frequency.

Contributing on a Committee

Interested in becoming a regular contributor in a manner that aligns with your interests and skills? Committee-based engagement can be short-term (single event) or long-term (intermittent meetings throughout the year), depending on the committee. Available opportunities may vary by your professional background, skills, interests, and/or schedule. These are examples of some Foundation Committees:

  • Monster Mash 5K Committee

  • Nourish Every Mind Auction Committee

  • Nourish Every Mind Student Showcase Committee

  • Community Outreach Committee

  • Marketing/Corporate Advisory Council

  • Teacher Advisory Council

Student Trustee Program

The Issaquah Schools Foundation works with Student Trustees their 11th and 12th grade years to represent the student voice on the Issaquah Schools Foundation Board. Benefits of being a Student Trustee:

  • Use your voice to represent your high school directly to the Foundation Board Trustees, ISD Superintendent and ISD School Board President.
     

  • Enhance your resume with this distinguished role.
     

  • Volunteer hours can go to the Presidential Volunteer Service Award.
     

  • Volunteer hours meet community service requirements.
     

  • Increase your understanding how a non-profit business works.
     

  • Network with community leaders.
     

  • Enjoy a new experience and challenge during your educational journey!
     

Your student voice is vital to the work that we do! Together, we will work to accomplish the mission and operating objectives of the organization: The Issaquah Schools Foundation drives resources district-wide to help students reach the promise of their potential.

We need you to raise awareness among high school peers about the work of the Foundation, and to continue to be a connection between the Foundation and the graduating class after high school.

PTSA Ambassador Opportunities

School based Ambassadors are an integral part of the Issaquah Schools Foundation’s efforts to reach out to each school in our district, and the partnership with each PTA/PTSA is an important collaboration. We greatly appreciate all of our ambassadors work as a link between their school community and the Issaquah Schools Foundation.
