In 2022-23, the Foundation provided Highly Capable support at the elementary level with classroom resources and teacher training opportunity essential to challenging this unique group of students.

Foundation funding has also supported the district’s Spanish-English Dual Language Program by providing teacher professional development opportunities, books for the classroom and library and cultural parent event for the community.

For the youngest of our students in Transitional Kindergarten, the Foundation funds added books and materials needed to build the common experience and practice of the teachers in launching this program.

Special Education funding allows for further education and certifications related to dyslexia and other special education programs supporting the varying needs of our district students, such as the adaptive cycles Outdoors for All events. These events are held for each LRC 2 program during summer school to explore adaptive bicycles and adaptive riding.

STEM Support/Science Tech

Each year, the Issaquah Schools Foundation provides STEM/Science Tech funding to each high school in the Issaquah School District to further enrich co-curricular and extra-curricular clubs and classes that provide rich and valuable learning opportunities for students in STEM/Science Tech related fields.  These clubs/classes include rocketry, environmental science, video production, forensics, and engineering.
